The SA-SOS App is based on navigation information through a specialised TomTom based console supplied to our Private Security and emergency response partners across the country. Pressing the emergency button on SA-SOS immediately alerts them of your location, allowing the closest Private Security Partner to respond to your emergency, wherever you are in South Africa. Developed by Smart Device Technologies, the app is available on the iStore and Android AppStore. Signing up is fast and simple. Relevant information must include a photo of the user, important medical information, car registration number, make and model, medical aid information, and important identifying information. Once activated, the SA-SOS app response-button can be placed in easy reach on your mobile home-screen. In the case of an emergency, anywhere within South African borders, activating the app will immediately alert the Private Security partner in closest geographic proximity to you. When alerted, support services also automatically communicate incident details to local police, fire and private medical response units, depending on what the situation requires.
